Recovery and risks

Redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness and discomfort can occur. Other complications may include infection, visible or palpable threads, extrusion or unevenness. Risks depend on the device, placement and individual factors and must be discussed before treatment. Recovery and any time away from normal activities should be planned individually.

How many threads will I need? There is no standard number. Suitability and a proposed plan are assessed before discussing quantities or costs.

Will the result last a set number of months? There is no guaranteed duration or degree of improvement. Discuss realistic expectations and the evidence for the proposed device.
